The ACT Independent Living Centre (ILC ACT) is a service of ACT Health. ILC ACT provides information on assistive technology and techniques to assist people to improve their quality of life and maintain their independence. Staff can assist with information about products, other services and resources, however equipment is not available for sale or hire.
The service is available to all members of the public, including people with a disability, injury or illness, carers, community groups, health professionals, organisations and students.
ILC ACT services are available to all ACT residents and to people living in or visiting from surrounding regions of NSW, interstate and overseas. A referral is not required to access ILC ACT.

Information, including product descriptions and suppliers, can be provided over the phone or sent by mail, email or fax.
2. Visitor Opening Hours
If you would like to look around by yourself, you are welcome to drop in between 9:00 and 4:30 Monday to Friday. Limited assistance may be available. Accessible parking is available near the entrance.
3. Appointments with Occupational Therapy
Appointments to see an occupational therapist can be made by contacting Community Health Intake on 02 6207 9977. Alternatively, if you are aged 65 years or over, you can request Occupational Therapy services through My Aged Care on 1800 200 422. These referrals are subject to service eligibility criteria and can be made by clients, family or health professionals.
4. Community Weigh Scale
A community weigh scale is available during visitor opening hours. Bookings are not required. This self-weigh station is wheelchair accessible and weighs up to 600kg. A wheelchair (max user weight 150kg) is also available for people to access these scales. Limited assistance may be available from Independent Living Centre Staff.
A small reference library of books, magazines and videos is available for viewing at the centre.
