- Extra product information
This system consists of a portable pump unit to the polyurethane mattress. The pump unit automatically adjusts the air pressure output of the pump to suit the users weight and position. The mattress features individual cylindrical air chambers that span the full width of the mattress. The chambers press stud into place and are seperate from each other so that they can be removed for cleaning and replaced if punctured. Height reducing cells can be fitted to allow the mattress surface to be customised for the individual.
The pump supplies air to each alternate chamber resulting in a thirty minute cycle of alternative inflation and deflation. There is a four cell pressure cycle which each lasts three and three quarter minutes.
The mattress is covered in a material which has three way stretch, is vapour permeable, water proof and flame retardant.
There are straps on the mattress which hold the mattress onto the bed. A spare air cell is stored in the head of the mattress to allow a puncture to immediately be fixed.
A CPR release is available on one model.
