The MaTRx-PB posture back has the choice of two contour depths. The standard depth is 130mm and the deep contour option has a 180mm contour depth, providing greater postural support.

MATERIALS
The standard model has a lightweight, ABS (thermoplastic) shell. The heavy duty model has an aluminium back shell. The 410mm and 510mm high backs include a built-in plate for a headrest attachment. The backrests are covered with foam. There is a removable sacral / lumbar support.

COVER
A moisture resistant, breathable, fabric cover, which can be unzipped to remove.

Options

- Visco foam upgrade of the backrest, is made up of a laminate of a 13mm high resilient foam and a 16mm layer of Visco foam.
- Foam-in-place kit, enables an individually moulded foam backrest to be fabricated, with the user seated in the wheelchair.
- A high stretch cover.
- Fixed non-removable mounting hardware, can facilitate an easier interface when the width between wheelchair canes is limited.
- Cane replacement, replaces existing back canes which are less than 26mm diameter for use with any MaTRx back.
- Extended shear reduction mounting hardware (ESR) allows the MaTRx PB back to be directly mounted to Motion Concepts TRx power wheelchair seating.

Installation

The posture back fits onto 22mm or 26mm diameter backrest canes, using "Easy Set" hardware. Inserts are available for 19mm back canes.
The bracket on the posture back, allows for attachment to wheelchairs that may be 26mm narrower or wider than the width of the backrest.
Adjustments on the brackets can allow for variation of depth, recline (up to 30 degrees) with some rotation.

The backrest bracket attaches to the wheelchair canes allowing for adjustment with the user in the chair.

Cleaning Requirements

The cover can be removed for cleaning. It can be wiped over with a damp cloth. Refer to product manual for further instructions.
