Installation
An installation kit is provided which includes four metres of ventilation pipe together with insulation and all other parts necessary for single storey installation. The ventilation pipe is connected from the toilet to an outlet in the wall or ceiling.
Wall brackets are supplied to secure the toilet in position.
Unit requires 700mm x 1200mm floor space for installation.
Features
The air temperature in the base is electrically controlled around the compost to ensure rapid decomposition.
An electrically operated fan evacuates humid air from the unit through the ventilation pipe to ensure the toilet area is ventilated and odour free.
The stirring mechanism has three different settings, stirring, levelling and raking, that are operated by depressing spring loaded buttons. This mechanism has to be operated once or twice a week to mix the paper into the waste and to loosen the compost.
Stirring the compost on the lowest setting once a week transfers decomposed material to the humus holding trays.
The humus tray at the base of the unit is filled with humus starter which contains micro organisms to break down the waste. This should be emptied after three months of toilet use.
