Method of Use
If you can brace your arm against your leg, your partner's body or something next to you, the IntimateRider will move with very little pushing effort, causing your pelvis to move for easy thrusting. It is important to position your legs so they bend at the knees and your partner's body helps keep them stable.

The seat fabric of the IntimateRider and RiderMate is made from denier nylon. The fabric is removable and machine washable.
The IntimateRider and RiderMate can be used in a number of different ways and positions to suit the user's needs and desires.

Factors to Consider
Pressure Sores
Pressure sores or pressure ulcers, are areas of damaged skin and tissue that may develop when sustained pressure cuts off circulation to vulnerable parts of the body. Before using the IntimateRider:
Check your skin completely
Take special caution when transferring from a wheelchair.
Move Often - Do weight shifts at least every 15-20 minutes.
The key is to maintain healthy skin to prevent pressure sores. Be sure to consult with a physician about any questions or concerns that may arise.
Incontinence
Prior to using the IntimateRider :
Have a regular bowel and bladder routine during the day
Avoid drinks containing caffeine, tea and alcohol when planning to have sex
The IntimateRider can assist by positioning your bodies so there is no pressure on your lower abdomen during sex
There are also medical treatments that may be available to assist with remaining continent
Spasticity:
Spasticity during sex can affect the use of the Intimaterider. To minimise spasticty when using the IntimateRider consuider the following:
Take a warm bath to relax muscles and joints
Preserve good general health to minimize irritations to the body
Proper sitting with good flexion at the hips, knees and ankles
Stretching exercises to help improve range of motion
There are also medical treatments that may assist with spasticity.
