A foot operated opener designed to be used with pull out cupboard units. Consists of a pedal mounted beneath the cupboard door, a magnetic catch and a spring mounted between the floor and cupboard base. When light pressure is exerted on the pedal the magnetic catch is released and the cupboard opens. The spring then pulls the cupboard open. The cupboard is closed by pushing the drawer and engaging the magnetic catch.
