An integrated system that enables a door to be automatically unlocked from a location away from the door. The door release is operated by pushing a button at either a fixed location or on a portable unit. The door is then able to be manually opened by pushing on it. An intercom system enables the user to communicate with the visitor before unlocking the door.

Features
System consists of three components, a master station, a door station and a door release
The master station is positioned at a remote location away from the door. It has an intercom built in, which allows the user to talk to the person at the outside of the door. The door can be released from this unit
The door station is positioned at the door. It is an intercom system which allows the person at the door to communicate with the person inside the house. It also has an in built door buzzer
The door release is attached to the door and is activated by pressing a button at the master station or on the separate remote unit allowing the person at the door to push it open. The door release can be programmed with a timer delay device which allows time for the person to open the door and then lock automatically. Automatic lock time can be set up to 60 minutes
Method of Use
Outside buzzer is pressed
Client speaks to visitor via internal intercom
Visitor speaks to client via external intercom
User releases door by pressing a button at the master station or on the separate remote unit
Visitor pushes open door
Installation
The electric strike can be installed on most standard door frames, such as aluminium, wood or steel frames
Glass walls may be problematic for successful installation of the system
Solid brick walls may hinder installation of cabling, however, cabling to a power point may be an alternative option
Accessories
Large button door release control
Separate portable units available, which can be worn on the body as a pendant or wrist band, hand held or fixed onto a wheelchair. As a number of units can be used to operate one door, the option is available for a carer to carry a unit
