Factors to Consider
No tactile or auditory feedback is provided to indicate the switch has been activated, therefore the user may require the switch to be placed within the line of vision.
Although the Pal Pads could be activated using a range of body movements they are best suited for hand activation with the switch in a position where the user can see the area to be targeted.
The non slip rubber backing assists with stability of the switch, if more stability is required, the Pal Pads can be mounted onto a flat surface using hook and loop tape.
The switch requires very little pressure therefore may be suitable for a person with reduced strength or range of movement.
The large Pal Pad switch provides a large target area that may assist people with coordination difficulties to activate the switch.
The bright colours make it visually easy to locate.
