Maintenance

Each cell can be removed and replaced individually if punctured.

Caution

All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.

MATERIALS: The pressure cells are manufactured from heavy duty, UV resistant, polyurethane coated woven nylon. The material is non allergenic, impervious to body fluids and resistant to soap and detergents.

FEATURES: The mattress overlay consists of 16 cells. There are four groups, h of four inflatable cells. These cells inflate and deflate cyclically one at a time in each group, reducing the tissue load stress on potential pressure points on a rhythmical basis while supporting the remainder of the body on 75% of the mattress surface. The system also features a CPR release to allow for rapid deflation if necessary.

OPERATION: Fifteen minute cycle time.

COVER: The cover is two way stretch, vapour permeable, water resistant and flame retardant.

COMMENTS: Compatible with an electric blanket and head raise with an adjustable bed.

SAFETY: In the event of mains failure or system faults, the pump has visual and audible alarm systems.
