CONTROLS: Controls are located on a hand held pendant which is stowed on the inside of the vehicle.
OPERATION: The lifters are powered by the vehicle`s battery. As an option, the lifters can be powered by a power pack which is plugged into the vehicle power outlet.
The lifter automatically raises and lowers the wheelchair. The user must manually tilt and guide the wheelchair into and out of the trunk.
AREAS FOR USE: These lifters are suitable for manual folding wheelchairs weighing up to 25kg. The boot mounted lifter is suitable for most types of vehicles including sedans, station wagons and hatchbacks. The rear and side door mounted models are suitable only for minivans and vans.
Method of Use
1. Position the vehicle at the rear of side of the car (depending on the model used). Remove the seat and hook the lift claw to the T bar docking device.
2. Push the UP button on the pendant. The lifter will tilt the wheelchair into the horizontal position with the user`s guidance.
3. Continue to push the UP button until the wheelchair is above the trunk opening.
4. Swing the wheelchair above the trunk opening and towards the cavity.
5. push the DOWN button to lower the wheelchair into the trunk and remove the lift claw from the docking device. The lift and wheelchair should both fit in the trunk.
