Tactile Snakes & Ladders
Tactile version of the popular board game. Pegged Snakes and Ladders board with tactile markers (sandpaper texture) to guide direction of piece movement. Pieces are of 4 different shapes: star, cross, flower, and clover. Two to 4 players
Points to Consider:
Some people may not like the rough sandpaper feel of the tactile marking used for this board game.
Helpful Hints:
Additional marking with puff paint may be necessary if players are having trouble distinguishing the different raised lines in this board game. For example, it may be helpful to paint the snakes and the ladders to make them easier to find by touch.
Tactile checkers/draughts set
Wooden draughts set and board. To enable players to play this game by touch alone, the black counters are smaller in diameter than the white counters and the black squares on the board are raised. King pieces are ready made as double the height of the standard draught pieces saving players having to stack two draughts together to make a king.
Chinese Checkers - Tactile
A game of strategy best played with four players. The object of the game is for your pegs to occupy the facing section belonging to your opponent. Each peg colour has a different shape for easy recognition; tactile/visual lines and circles are printed on the board indicating direction of movement and location. Age range: 7+ years.
