- Extra product information
This wooden and metal framed chair has a contoured, fibre filled backrest, and seat and headrest padded with fire retardant Enduro foam.
The chair has a sit / lift / recline / sleep mechanism, ie four way positions. The reclining and standing mechanism is operated by a hand held press button control. Releasing the switch will automatically stop the chair. Battery back up is also included.
Available in a range of upholstery fabrics including fluid resistant fabrics and vinyl. Magazine pockets are located on both sides of the chair as well as anti mac and arm covers.
Various options and styles are available and seating cushioning and dimensions can be customised to suit an individual's needs.
Magazine pockets are positioned on both sides of the chair and all chairs are provided with anti mac and arm covers.
FRAME is steel and wood.
SEAT has high density Enduro foam padding which can be customised in amount and density for individual requirements.
BACKREST consists of two padded sections filled with polyester fibre fill. The backrest can be lifted from the frame of the back of the chair to gain access to the back of each cushion section. A zipper at the back of each section allows adjustment in amount and density of padding.
ARMREST are full length, padded and upholstered.
LEGREST is incorporated in the chair and extends from the edge of the seat when in the reclined position. The leg rest elevates to a position level to the seat and is available with or without chaise.
UPHOLSTERY options include fluid resistant fabrics.
CONTROLS are hand held on an extendable cord and can be mounted on either side of the chair. The hand control has a single black rocker switch on black background with contrasting up and down arrow and tactile markers to assist with rocker switch location. Pressing the down arrow moves the chair into a reclining position which fully reclines to an almost lying position, with the legrest automatically moving up to support the legs as the chair moves back. Pressing the up arrow returns the legrest and seat to the normal position and activates a standing position by lifting the user up and tilting them slightly forward. Releasing the switch will automatically stop the chair at any position. A magazine pocket on the side of the chair allows the control to be stored within reach.
POWER is via the mains, and battery backup is standard. In an emergency the battery allows the chair to return to the upright position once only.
CUSTOMISATION of seat width and depth and backrest height and contouring is available. The amount and density of foam in the seat, may be customised also. Seat height may be altered by using a plinth base to increase by up to 100mm or by using plastic feet.
