The passive infra-red (PIR) detector can be mounted below the bed base, under or on the side of the bed frame or on the wall.
The control box needs to be plugged into a mains 240 volt power point at all times. The control box is portable and can be relocated to where the carer is at the time.
Up to two detectors can be installed on both sides of the bed to detect movements on either side.
3 to 4 hours battery backup in case of power failure.

Method of Use

The control box needs to be plugged into the mains power at all times.
The infra-red transmitter can be positioned under the bed, on the side of the bed frame or on the wall.
The infra-red is looking for two impulses before setting off the alarm; the first impulse (approx. 4 seconds) and second impulse (approx. 2 seconds) before turning on the alarm.
The infra-red detector sends radio signals to the control box which emits an audible buzzer or strobe light.
The carer needs to turn off the switch button located in the control box to stop the alarm.
