A pressure cushion with a wireless sensor device designed to alert the carer that a person is getting out of the chair. The supplier states it is appropriate for users who have a low risk of developing pressure ulcers. Other options are available.

- Method of Use
Cushion is placed on top of the chair.
The receiver can be located where the carer can see or hear the alarm. It must be within 12 metres distance from the cushion.
When user is sitting on cushion, the four switches are on.
When pressure on cushion is off, the switches sends a signal to the transmitter.
The transmitter will activate the receiver via wireless infra-red signal and the buzzer or strobe light is on.
The carer must switch off the receiver to stop the alarm.
