General Details
- Caution
Chair should not be moved with a person seated in it. The castors provided are for ease of moving the chair for floor cleaning.
When the chair is in its lowered position, all castors are in contact with the ground and the chair is mobile. To ensure chair is stable when not in use, the chair should be left in a raised position (partial or full).- Extra product information
This wooden and metal framed chair has a contoured backrest, seat and headrest all padded with high density foam to maximise lumbar support.
The reclining standing mechanism is operated by a hand held control on an extendable cord which can be mounted on the left or right side. The action of the chair is a "wallsaver" action, i.e. the seat moves forward on its base as it reclines. Releasing the switches will automatically stop the chair at any position.
The supplier can arrange a trial of the chair in a person's home if they are unable to attend the supplier's showroom.
Instruction on location and installation will be provided on delivery.
The optional battery back up unit activates automatically and allows normal operation for four to six hours after power failure.Frame: Metal and wood. The frame may be reinforced for load capacities over 120 kg. Four castors are standard on the base of the chair metal frame. The two front castors lift free from the ground when the chair is in the raised position, allowing the front of the base to rest on the ground and provide stability. Brakes on the rear castors may be requested.
Motor: The single motor on this chair allows the seat to move forward as it reclines thus reducing the need for the chair to be placed far out from the wall. This is referred to as an incliner or "wall saver" model.
Seat: Padded with high density foam padding.
Backrest: Features deep buttoning, contoured lumbar support and has a removable neckrest as standard. An optional inflatable lumbar pump is available to alter level of lumbar support.
Armrests: Padded and upholstered, with polished wooden ends to provide a firm grip when getting in or out of the chair.
Legrest: Incorporated in the chair and extends from the edge of the seat when in the raised position with chaise attachment (padding extending from the legrest to the front of the chair). The legrest raises to almost horizontal position before the backrest begins to recline. This offers an alternative option to having the double motor model for independent leg raising.Upholstery: Available in a range of fabrics including vinyl and fluid resistant fabrics.
Customisation: Supplier can alter the dimensions, styles and cushioning to suit individual requirements.
Controls: The control has two white soft touch push buttons on a black background. A raised arrow on each of the buttons also indicates direction of movement. One switch operates the recline and legrest elevation, and the other operates the standup function. The control may be stored in a pocket on the side of the chair.Power: Provided from mains power. The chair has battery back up allowing one full return of the chair to upright position in the case of power failure. The two AA batteries are located in the AC/DC adaptor at floor level.
