This system consists of a mattress (overmantle or Airmantle), visco-elastic foam cushions, sheets and brackets to provide a postural management system in supine (back), prone (stomach) or side lying. The brackets are stabilised onto a felt, fitted sheet with hook and loop tape underneath the bedding. There is a two way stretch cover available in Bamboo or "CoolOver TR3" temperature regulating material. The mattress/overmantle is available in "CoolOver TR3" material (called the Airmantle) or visco-elastic foam. A range of accessories are available.
General Details
Caution: Pressure Cushions & Mattresses
• All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (e.g. correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.
• Sometimes, due to the user deteriorating, the product may become unsuitable. Continuous monitoring is necessary and alternative products may be recommended.
• There are many things to consider when selecting pressure care products including nutrition, skin moisture, level of mobility, age shear, friction, location of pressure ulcer (if present) and hygiene. Any comments regarding level of pressure care is a suggestion made by suppliers as a guide to assist with selection, and this may differ from brand to brand. When selecting pressure care products it is strongly advised that a comprehensive assessment is undertaken by a health professional to encourage correct product selection and monitoring of product effectiveness.

===
The system is designed for people who require effective posture management, where high tone may override a restful sleep. It is designed to maintain body symmetry. It offers an infinitely adjustable range of sleeping and lying postures.
It consists of a foam mattress with conforming foam cushions held in place against the body via brackets. The brackets have a hook base which attaches to the felt sheet, which is on the upper surface of the mattress. This secures the brackets / cushions in place.
The cover has a two way stretch.
Cleaning Requirements
The cover can be wiped clean.
Method of Use
1. A felt sheet is attached to the bed (all bed sizes can be accommodated). The felt sheet has a grid pattern marked on it.
2. The support shape is built up using the foam cushions and brackets. The brackets have a hook base. The layout is recorded on the assessment chart. If required, permanent marking pen can be used to mark out the position of the brackets.
3. A second sheet of slow recovery foam is placed over the brackets, covering the mattress. An elasticated sheet covers the whole assembly.
4. The individual is positioned so that they are as symmetrical as possible. Add top sheet and cover as required.
5. Cushions and brackets can be quickly removed and relocated to assist transfers and for repositioning the user's body for sleeping in prone (on stomach), supine (on back) or side lying.
