The cooktops feature a ceramic cooktop with quick response 'HiLight' radiant heating elements. The elements heat to 100% in three seconds. Each element has a residual heat indicator. Each cooktop has a dual circuit ring (increasing the element size from 145mm to 210mm) and a dual purpose cooking area (which increases from 170mm to 290mm in length). Safety features include automatic ring switch off, after a predetermined period of time; also the elements have pan sensors, that is, if the pan is removed the heating element automatically switches off.
