General Details
- Extra product information
The unit has power connected and is wired to the fire panel, to enable the door to close in case of a fire alarm. That is, it suits fire and smoke check doors. It operates hydraulically.
Suits right or left hand opening doors.
The free swing arm can be retro fitted to existing EMF closers.Method of operation
Once installed, and the door is opened fully (to 80 degrees), the arm assembly locks back allowing the door to free swing. Upon interruption to the current, (i.e. in the case of the fire alarm being activated) the arm assembly unlocks and the EMF closes the door (and the door operates as a fire door). The whole mechanism operates as a standard hydraulic door closer until the current is restored.- Manufacturer/Country
