A hand held can opener that is operated with the right hand. It has a stainless steel cutting blade, wide plastic handles with a centre front pivot which open to 180 degrees and a large turning knob. There is a lock in the form of a button on the side of the handles.

The ergonomic-shaped handles have slip-resistant rubber coatings and are opened by a releasing lock (rubber knob on top of opener). The can opener is positioned by piercing top of can with rustproof metal blade and then closing the handles to lock opener in position. The rubber turning knob situated on the side of the opener is then turned to cut lid. The opener is removed from the can by releasing the lock.

The opener may remain clamped onto the can, where it will serve as a handle for carrying and to assist with pouring.
