General Details
- Extra product information
This wooden and metal framed chair is fully upholstered with a three sectioned backrest padded with polyester fibre filling, padded seat available in a range of densities of foam, firm padded armrests and padded legrest which is incorporated into the chair with a chaise. A polyester fibre filled removable neckrest is optional.
The reclining mechanism can be operated by a carer or the user.
Lockable brakes are located on the rear castors and a stainless steel push handle is fixed to the backrest frame.
SEAT has high density foam padding which can be customised. The chaise has a higher profile than the seat but maybe reduced by adjusting the foam padding.
BACKREST can be lifted from the frame of the back of the chair to gain access to the back of each cushion section. A zipper at the back of each section allows customisation of the amount of polyester fibre filling or addition of foam padding.
ARMRESTS are full length padded and firm with covers.
LEGREST is incorporated in the chair, with a chaise, and extends from the edge of the seat when in the raised position.
FOOTREST slides out on runners underneath the seat frame. The wooden footrest has a black textured slip resistant rubber surface.
CASTORS are 100mm in diameter.
UPHOLSTERY is available in a range of fabrics including fluid resistant fabrics and vinyls.
CUSTOMISATION of the amount and density of foam padding in the seat and chaise, and polyester fibre filling in the backrest and neckrest are available. Different styles of backrest are also available including two sectioned or one piece contoured backrest. Seat depth can be adjusted by altering the amount of padding in the backrest cushion sections. Customised seat width and height is also available.
- Options
A range of backrest styles is available.
- Method of Use
METHOD OF OPERATION of the reclining chair is by lifting the legrest whilst the user is seated in the chair. Alternatively the user seated in the chair may push down on the armrests and back against the backrest. The backrest angle does not alter but the seat moves backward when the legrest is raised to horizontal. Further lifting of the legrest above horizontal results in the whole seat tilting in space. The seat may be returned to upright by lowering the legrest or pushing upward on the push handle. With the latter method, however, the legrest does not fully lower when the seat is returned to upright, and must be further lowered by pushing down.
