General Details
- Extra product information
This chair is fully upholstered over a steel and wooden frame, with full length curved armrests, two sectioned contoured back, and incorporates a legrest in open front or chaise design.
The seat and backrest move forward within the armrests, as the legrest raises and backrest reclines. This wall saver action allows the chair to be placed close to a wall as the chair only partially reclines past the back of the chair.
Available in a wide range of upholstery fabrics, vinyls and water resistant fabrics. Both manual and electric versions are available on castors. Customisation of backrest height, padding in back and armrests and fall of seat is available. Bolsters can be made to narrow the seat width.FRAME is steel and wood framed, covered in Enduro high density foam padding and polyester fibre fill padding in backrest.
SEAT has high density foam padding. Three frame sizes allow customisation of seat depth. Seat depth can be altered further by varying the amount of foam padding in the backrest. Fall of seat cushion may also be customised.
BACKREST is a two sectioned contoured back. Amount and density of padding in sections may be customised.LEGREST is available with or without chaise.
ARMRESTS are curved, fully upholstered and padded. Amount and density of padding may be customised.
CUSTOMISATION The chair comes in three sizes, and some mixing of different size backs and seats is possible to enable a more custom fit. Possible configurations needs to be checked with the manufacturer. Further customisation of backrest height, armrests and contouring in backrest can be obtained by adjusting the amount and density of foam padding.
CHAIR ACTION
The electric version has a hand control on an extendable cord which has push button operation. It can be mounted on either side of the chair. The legrest raises to a midway position before the seat back begins to recline. The legrest, seat and back sections then move forward together as the seat continues to its final partially reclined position.
To operate the manual chair, a small lever on the side of the armrest is operated by the fingers at the same time that the person pushes back on the backrest. To return the chair to upright position, the person must lean forward to shift their weight and apply pressure with the calves against the legrest.UPHOLSTERY is available in a range of fabrics including fluid resistant fabrics - Morcare and Zircon.
