General Details
- Caution
Chair should not be mobilised with person seated in it. The castors provided are for ease of moving the chair for floor cleaning etc.
When the chair is in its lowered position, all castors are in contact with the ground and the chair is mobile. To ensure chair is stable when not in use, the chair should be left in a raised position (partial or full).- Extra product information
This wooden and metal framed chair has a contoured backrest, seat and headrest all padded with high density foam to maximise lumbar support.
The reclining standing mechanism is operated by a hand held control on an extendable cord which can be mounted on the left or right side. The action of the chair is a "wallsaver" action, i.e. the seat moves forward on its base as it reclines. Releasing the switches will automatically stop the chair at any position.
The supplier can arrange a trial of the chair in a person's home if they are unable to attend the supplier's showroom.
Instruction on location and installation will be provided on delivery.
The optional battery back up unit activates automatically and allows normal operation for four to six hours after power failure.FRAME is metal and wood. The frame may be reinforced for load capacities over 120 kg. Four castors are standard on the base of the chair metal frame. The two front castors lift free from the ground when the chair is in the raised position, allowing the front of the base to rest on the ground and provide stability. Brakes on the rear castors may be requested.
MOTOR The single motor on this chair allows the seat to move forward as it reclines thus reducing the need for the chair to be placed far out from the wall. This incliner or "wall saver" model is suitable for living arrangements where limited space is a problem e.g. in hostel rooms.
SEAT has high density fire retardant treated foam padding.
BACKREST is available in two styles and the cushioning may be customised in the amount and density of foam and contouring. A removable neckrest is standard.
Classique style backrest ( i.e. same back as the classique electric recliner lift chair) - a two roll backrest with small side wings. Upper roll of backrest has a zipper at the back allowing access to the foam for customisation of contouring if required.
Royale style backrest (i.e. same back as the Royale electric recliner lift chair) - the backrest has deep buttoning and contoured lumbar support.
ARMRESTS are full length, padded and upholstered and have the option of polished wooden hand holds to assist with getting up from the chair.FOOTREST is incorporated in the chair and extends from the edge of the seat when in the raised position with chaise attachment. The legrest raises to almost horizontal position before the backrest begins to recline. This offers an alternative option to having the double motor model for independent leg raising.
UPHOLSTERY is available in a range of fabrics including vinyl.
CUSTOMISATION Supplier can alter the dimensions, styles and cushioning to suit individual requirements.
CONTROLS are hand held and may be positioned on either side of the chair. The control has two white soft touch push buttons on a black background. A raised arrow on each of the buttons also indicates direction of movement. One switch operates the recline and legrest elevation, and the other operates the standup function. Releasing the switch will automatically stop the chair. A pocket provides storage place for the hand control.POWER is provided from mains power. The chair has battery back up which ensures one return to the upright position if the power supply is cut off. Two AA batteries are housed in the AC/DC adaptor.
