An electrically operated lounge chair with a single motor that operates the reclining backrest, elevating leg rest and stand up function. The chair uses a tilt-in-space mechanism that moves the seat and backrest together to minimise hip movement when reclining. Features a steel and timber frame, castors, full upholstery and a choice of two or three pillow backrest. Available with a range of fabric choices and may be customised.

The contoured backrest consists of a three sections padded with polyester fibre. The armrests are full length, fully padded and upholstered. Seat cushion is padded with foam. The legrest is padded and is fully enclosed (chaise).

The reclining and standing mechanism is operated by a push button hand held control on an extendable cord which can be mounted on the left or right side of the chair. When moved into the reclining position, the legrest will automatically move up to support the legs as the chair moves back. When the legrest reaches the horizontal position, the remainder of the reclining occurs as a tilt in space action. The legrest returns to the normal position when the chair moves into the standing position. In the standing position, the chair first lifts the person then tilts them slightly forward. Releasing the switch will automatically stop the chair at any position.

FRAME is radiata pine and plywood, with chair action components constructed of steel.

BACKREST padding may be customised. The three roll backrest piece is joined at the top of the backrest frame only. This allows the user to place the backrest sections to the desired position and allows access to zippers on the rear of the three padded sections. The amount of polyester fibre fill can thus be adjusted to suit individual needs. Also available as a two roll backrest.

ARMRESTS are scrolled and armrest covers come standard with the chair.

LEGREST elevates to a position slightly above the seat when in the fully reclined position.

UPHOLSTERY comes in a range of fabrics including fluid resistant fabrics.

CUSTOMISATION includes seat depth (within a range), seat width and height can be customised by use of height adjustable glides or castors. Amount of padding in backrest sections may be customised. Seat depth may also be reduced by addition of foam padding on the front of the backrest frame, beneath the pillow sections.

CONTROLS may be stored in pockets situated on the outside of the chair arms for convenient access. The control has a single black rocker switch on black background with contrasting up and down arrow and tactile markers to assist rocker switch location. The up arrow is activated for the standup function, while the down arrow activates recline and legrest elevation function.

POWER The motor is mains operated and has battery backup in the event of power failure. The backup battery is contained within the AC adaptor allowing ease of battery change after emergency use.
