General Details
Caution
It is important to ensure that fixed rails are selected to suit the type of wall. There may be specific differences between rails intended for installation on masonry walls and those intended for installation on wooden stud walls.
Extra product information
The kits are available with a range of different combinations of hand held showers with or without grab rails / slider with 'C' hook attachment, or wall brackets. The basic components that make up the kits are as follows:
Commercial Hand Held Shower (AC 036 Hosfab Commercial)
The hand held shower is constructed from ABS plastic, with a cylindrical hand grip. The rose component is circular, at a slight angle, providing a firm spray. The diffuser is removable for cleaning. The end of the hand grip tapers. It fits into the 'C' hook bracket on the slide rail, or into a wall mounted bracket. The hand held shower needs to be plumbed in.
Klipper Hand Held Shower (AC 025 Klipper - on/off slide lever)
The hand held shower is constructed from ABS plastic, with an oval shaped hand grip. On the side on the hand grip is a lever which enables the water to be temporarily turned off at the hand piece. The rose is circular and provides a firm spray. The diffuser is removable for cleaning. The end of the hand grip tapers. It fits into the 'C' hook bracket on the slide rail, or into a wall mounted bracket. The hand held shower needs to be plumbed in.
Grab rails / Slider
The 32mm stainless steel grab rails are available in a variety of configurations (vertical, corner mounted, 90 degree angled etc). The rails are designed to be installed on a single wall or into the corner of the shower recess. Central fixings (where used) utilise an underslung bracket. Suits wet and dry applications. Marine grade 316 stainless steel is available for weather exposed / coastal areas. Standard product is grade 304 stainless steel. Two styles of rails are used:
1. 'Clam flange' concealed grab rail slider with a 585mm solid brass friction slide track with a factory installed solid brass friction slide 'C' hook bracket. The friction slide is water assisted, allowing it to slide assisting a user with reduced strength. A spring within the bracket holds it in position against the rail, it does not lock. The 'C' hook pivots in a vertical plane, allowing the shower to be positioned as required. The bracket is positioned on the right side of the rail, but can be installed on the left if specified.
2. 'Clam flange' grab rail with ABS plastic glide slide 'C' hook bracket. This is a three part bracket, which is held in position on the rail by a spring. Can be moved up and down the rail and will lock into position. The claw component of the bracket pivots (with a 'clicking' movement) in a vertical plane, allowing the shower to be positioned as required. If knocked, the bracket pivots around the rail in a horizontal plane, out of the users way.
Wall brackets
ABS plastic wall mounted bracket, with a 'C' hook, to engage the conical end nut of a hose.
Premium Hose
Reinforced chrome or white hose, 1500mm or 2000mm in length, provided in all kits. The hose is constructed from plastic, with nylon cord reinforcing and a ridged chrome or smooth white finish.
Installation
Manufacturer recommends the grab rails should be installed by a qualified tradesperson.
Hand held shower hose needs to be installed by a licensed plumber.
