A vibrating unit worn on a belt or around the neck which alerts a person with a hearing impairment to the telephone or doorbell ringing. It is battery powered and designed to work in conjunction with a standard telephone. When the telephone rings, the alarm unit will vibrate on and off until the telephone is answered. The alarm can also be connected to a press-button front door alarm (doorbell), which will trigger a different pattern of vibration in the unit.
