A plastic removable jug and talking base that measures liquid in millilitres, litres, pints and fluid ounces. The user selects the type of liquid that they are adding to the jug and the voice output expresses the quantity of liquid in the jug as it is poured. The inbuilt scales can be reset to zero without emptying the jug.

The jug is attached to the base by placing the jug on the base with the handle to the users right, the jug is then rotated 90 degrees clockwise to lock in place. To remove the jug for cleaning perform the above in reverse.
The base is not waterproof or microwave safe and can be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. The jug is dishwasher and microwave safe. The battery compartment is on the bottom of the base beneath the handle.
The base has four operating buttons located on top of and below the handle and are pressed to speak the measurement, select the type of liquid being added, reset and select the unit of measure. The measurement is spoken every 30 seconds once the liquid has been added. The jug can be measured into whilst being held in the users hand.
The base is powered by a 9V battery. The battery cover has a recessed clip which is pushed back towards the handle to release.
