An electric wheelchair fitted with the Smart Control System. This enables clients who are unable to use a joystick the ability to control the wheelchair via switches. The Smart Controls can be used to help facilitate learning how to interact with the environment. The controls can be adjusted to enable the wheelchair to take as much control as you wish, allowing progression from simpler to complex tasks. Skills learnt can be transferred to other areas of communication and movement. The electric wheelchair can also be fitted with an infra red sensor which will allow the chair to follow a line and be operated by a single switch. Anti collision sensors are available. The Smart Platform model comes with a switch assessment kit.
