The TWIG Protector Amber Alert is a GSM based GPS personal safety device. The system can be activated by a fall, pressing the dedicated SOS alarm button, AmberAlert or by an optional wireless alarm button. The device also has an LCD display, four programmable quick dial buttons and an answer and end call button. An emergency information profile is setup for the user and transmits the latest known GPS position and TWIG Beacon indoor position to contacts installed in the profile. Pendant is waterproof.

It is important to be aware that 000 calls from automated devices (such as emergency call systems) cannot be guaranteed a response from the emergency services if they are unable to validate the condition, address and required response. It is therefore not recommended to program 000 into a non-monitored emergency call system (or autodialling system).

The device is lightweight, shock resistant and waterproof and is powered by a long life rechargeable battery. The device can be configured locally or remotely. AmberAlert is an optional enhanced monitoring service that can trigger an alert in the alarms receiving centre (ARC). AmberAlert can work without a GSM connection.
An optional wireless wrist alarm and docking station allow the device to operate as a home based emergency call system. The device can be located using the TWIG WebFinder SP computer software or by an SMS web link that opens Google Maps on a smart phone.
The device provides alerts via both SMS and GPRS. Tracking and alert messages include information on GPS / TWIG Beacon location, speed, heading and battery charge.
The device comes standard with the TWIG Protector unit, 1500 mAh rechargeable battery, car or AC charger and user guide.
