The iRobot Scooba 390 is a floor washing robot. Using a four stage process, it prepares, washes, scrubs and squeegees the floor. The Scooba is limited to the required cleaning area through the use of a wall mounted sensor. The Scooba 390 is safe to use on a range of surfaces including tiles, lino, vinyl, marble, slate, stone and sealed hardwood when the correct floor cleaning products are utilised.

The iRobot Scooba 390 uses sensors to find its way around the room to be cleaned. The Scooba cleans every section of the room multiple times and follows the walls of a room to ensure the best clean possible. The Scooba also has cliff detection sensors to prevent Scooba from falling stairs and other drop offs
