Spider Range
Keypads:
Large format keypads with 15 buttons (RB-SHC15) or 9 buttons (RB-SHC9)

Adaptors:
The Spider keypad controls the networked functions. These functions can be:
RB Systems products from the Driving and / or Access ranges;
Either on the vehicle or provided by other mobility/manufacturer, and of types Driving, Comfort, Access and Other. These functions are networked through the use of Spider adaptors.

This means the network is open – just about any electrical function required by the driver can be added in.

Functions that can be networked:
The electrical functions could be of many different types, based on what the driver needs. They may have been provided by RB Systems products, they may be functions already on the vehicle, or they have been provided by another manufacturer’s product.

Functions are networked to, and operated by the driver from, the Spider Keypad using either the 6-relay or 3-relay adaptors
Driving Functions:
• Ignition Control (RB-IG)
• Handbrake Control (RB-HB)
• Gearshift Control (RB-TG)
• Tiptronic Control (RB-TT)

Comfort Functions:
• Power seat position
• Headrest position
• Driver and passenger power windows (open/close)
• Exterior power wing mirrors (fold/extend)
• Child-proof locks (lock/unlock)
• Interior light (on/off)
• Stereo (on/off/mute)
• Fan (on/off plus speed adjustment)
• Air conditioning (on/off)
• Seat heater

Access Functions:
• Vehicle Access Control (RB-AC) Universal Remote (RB-UR) SPIDER Adaptor
• Doors (lock/unlock)
• Ramp (down/up)
• Hoist control (in/out, up/down)

Other Functions:
• Side doors
• Fog lights
• Cruise control (on/off/engage/resume etc.)
• Rear wiper (intermittent/low speed)
• Rear washer
• Parking lights

Spider Keypads
Enable a driver to safely operate most electronic functions.
Any function can be assigned to any key.
Select at the touch of a button driving, comfort, access and other functions (see above).
Provide a tailored solution to individual driver needs.
15 or 9 button hardwired keypads (RB-SHC15 or RB-SHC9) – mounted anywhere.

6 Relay Spider Adaptor
The Spider 6-relay Adaptor is a compatible with most vehicles.
It can be used either part of the Spider range of products, controlled by the 15 button (RB-SHC15) or 9 button (RB-SHC9) network hardwired keypad, or as a standalone product.
The programmable features of the Spider 6 relay adaptor allow full customisation of functions to suit each driver’s requirement.
It can control vehicle functions or other disability products with great features as follows:
Can be activated by RB Systems 15 button (RB-SHC15) or 9 button (RB-SHC9) Spider Smart Keypad or Remote Control keypads (5 or 2 button), or up to 6 external switches, as part of a Spider network or as a standalone interface.
When used as a standalone interface, can be used to control comfort, access and other functions (see above) at the touch of a button.
Features:
• Programmable buttons - toggle, press and hold, or timer function.
• Programmable timers - choose from 1, 10, or 60 seconds.
• Numerous programmable options for each of the 6 relays.
• All functions can be programmed to be dependent on ignition on/off.
• One button can trigger 2 functions alternately.
• Control of up to 3 linear actuators.
• Protection against actuator over-application (current limit protection)
• 2 built in applications:
2x Wheelchair dock control and;
Back-up battery control for charging back-up battery.

3 Relay Spider Adaptor
Similar to the Spider 6-relay Adaptor, the 3 relay Adaptor is a compatible with most vehicles.
It can be used as part of the Spider range of products, controlled by the 15 button (RB-SHC15) or 9 button (RB-SHC9) network hardwired keypad.
The programmable features of the Spider 3 relay adaptor allow control of vehicle functions or other disability products

Licensing and Insurance Requirements

You are legally required to advise your State licensing authority of any medical condition or disability that may impact on your driving. If not, you risk fines or legal action and your car insurance can be affected. You may need to provide medical reports or undergo driving tests. Modifications to your vehicle must be in line with the Australian safety and design rules. Fitting of wheelchair occupant restraints, child restraints and vehicle hoist ramps must meet relevant Australian Standards. Modifications should be done by suitably qualified vehicle modifiers. You will also need to inform your car insurer of any vehicle modifications. Your policy may become void if you do not do so.
