A lightweight, portable, full page OCR system for reading magazines, books, newspapers and other printed material. Once the document is positioned and the button is pressed the smart reader begins reading aloud. The smart reader can be connected to the 13.3" portable battery operated monitor, or any desktop monitor or TV and the enlarged image can be viewed in capture mode. This enables the person to read along and listen as the smart reader reads aloud.
