The AliveCor device is a ECG device built into an iPhone case that has an accompanying app that can analyse ECG readings and display them on the phone's screen. Measurements are taken by the user holding their fingertips or chest into the metal pads and ultrasound signals are then transmitted to the mobile device’s microphone. AliveCor's free app, AliveECG is available for iOS and Android, together with the Heart Monitor, records and stores single-channel ECGs. Alivetec states that the device is TGA approved
