General Details
- Extra product information
Changes in the users activity patterns can also alert a carer. Sensors can also be placed on medicine cabinets and refrigerators and so on to monitor how often they are being accessed. Lighting can be programmed to be turned on at sunset or when the users smart device comes within a set distance from the premises. It can also be programmed to turn lights off and on when the premises is vacant for a period of time and the system will randomly vary the time it turns the lights on after sunset by up to 45 minutes each day to avoid detection that the lights are being operated automatically. The system also provides an emergency call pendant. The sensors are wireless and use z-wave technology which ensures a strong signal between the system and the sensors at all times. Battery back up provides continuity of service in the event of a power outage. The system uses a sim card to transmit data to the monitoring centre so no telephone line is required. The system can be tailored to suit the individuals requirements. The monthly monitoring fee includes all data transmitted by the system so there are no additional charges for the messages sent by the system to the monitoring centre. If the user moves premises they can take the product with them to their new residence. Can be installed without the need for drilling holes so it is suitable for rental properties. Up to 240 sensors can be added to the system.
- Additional Specifications
- Caution: Emergency Call Systems - '000'
It is important to be aware that 000 calls from automated devices (such as emergency call systems) cannot be guaranteed a response from the emergency services if they are unable to validate the condition, address and required response. It is therefore not recommended to program 000 into a non-monitored emergency call system (or autodialling system).
- Caution: Emergency Call Systems - NBN
The planned National Broadband Network (NBN), if built as proposed, will replace the existing fixed-line copper telecommunications network. Telephone based emergency call systems supplied by companies who are members of Personal Emergency Response Services Australia (PERSA) are expected to work correctly when connected to the NBN. Please be aware that battery back-up time on the NBN will only work for a few hours during a power failure. Please ensure that your NBN customer equipment is set-up correctly to work with your emergency call system and that the Retail Service Provider (RSP) that you have selected to provide your broadband can support that set-up. If the NBN is rolling-out in your area, call your emergency call system supplier before you sign any contract for the NBN service so they can assist you to select an RSP that is likely to support the continued operation of your emergency call system over the NBN.
