A harness designed for children and adults who require more support than provided by a standard seat belt. The harness is fitted to the passenger before entering the vehicle and locked into place via a magnet. A magnet key release is supplied. A jacket option is available. Anti-submarining strap is standard. The harness should be used in conjunction with a standard vehicle seat belt. Available in 3 sizes.
General Details
Method of Use
Harness and Easy-travel jacket may both be fitted onto the passenger before boarding the vehicle, and then locked into position using magnetic buttons. These buttons may be released using a magnetic key (or any magnet).
The harness is held in place using the car seat and original seat belt.
Vehicle modifications are not required.
Licensing and Insurance Requirements
Modifications to your vehicle must be in line with the Australian safety and design rules. Fitting of wheelchair occupant restraints, child restraints and vehicle hoist ramps must meet relevant Australian Standards. Modifications should be done by suitably qualified vehicle modifiers. You will also need to inform your car insurer of any vehicle modifications. Your policy may become void if you do not do so. Contact the vehicle licensing / registration authority in your State for more information.
Caution
Local State legislation may require you to keep a current doctor’s certificate in your vehicle when this harness is in use in the vehicle. Check with your local transport / licensing authority for more details.
