OptiKey is an open-source communication software designed to be used with mouse, head tracker, eye tracker and other alternative mouse options. Users can access text-to-speech keyboards as well as CommuniKate pages with picture symbols within the software. The software features a learning word prediction engine that learns from the user's usage patterns. OptiKey can also automatically insert spaces between words and capitalise letters. Aside from typing using the onscreen keyboard, users can type whole words and phrases in a single selection by "swiping" or using "auto-complete". The software also offers mouse simulation for interaction with other Windows software. The software is compatible with Windows only and currently does not support switch access. OptiKey is designed to work on a Windows computer that is capable of running the .Net 4.6 Framework by Microsoft.
