Indi is a communication device. It is a Windows tablet with a 10 inch display. There are built in speakers for extra volume and cameras on the front and back. Indi has infrared built in for environmental controls. Different access methods can be used including touchscreen and wireless switch-scanning or head-mouse. A protective case and keyguards are available as additional accessories. There are different software options for communication which include Communicator 5, Snap + Core First, Compass or Grid 3.

Extra product information

Indi features Snap™ + Core First® vocabulary organisation, which is a symbol-based communication system. It is designed to provide a systematic delivery of a Core Word framework that continuously grows vocabulary and literacy skills.

Indi is a tablet that was designed specifically for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). It also includes features such as Environmental Control Units (ECUs), Infrared (IR), access to social media, email, or texting.

Many different access methods are compatible with Indi and include switch-scanning, head-mouse, and touch with keyguards. Note that Indi doesn't have switch ports but supports Bluetooth switches for scanning.

Indi features integrated, outward-facing speakers to project sound out to whomever you are speaking to. Because of the location of the speakers, at the top of the tablet, you don’t have to worry about them being covered up with your hands or a case.
