General Details
- Caution: Emergency Call Systems - '000'
It is important to be aware that 000 calls from automated devices (such as emergency call systems) cannot be guaranteed a response from the emergency services if they are unable to validate the condition, address and required response. It is therefore not recommended to program 000 into a non-monitored emergency call system (or autodialling system).
- Method of Use
SIGNAL ACTIVATION:
* Pressing the SOS button for 3 seconds alerts pre-programmed contacts. An audible tone should be heard. The device will text all emergency contacts and dials the primary number who is then able to communicate via automatic speakerphone function. The emergency text messages include a link to Google Maps showing the user’s GPS location.
The call can be cancelled by pressing the SOS button briefly.
* The unit also has a fully automatic man-down system. If a fall is detected, texts will be sent to all emergency contacts after 10 seconds of beeping. The unit can be cancelled in the event of a false alarm by pressing the SOS button while the unit is beeping.
There are 9 sensitivity settings for the fall detector function.
Fall detector can be turned off.USE AS PHONE:
* The unit can be used as a speakerphone to talk with the primary contact by pressing the button on the side of the unit.
* People can also ring the unit to contact the person wearing the Safety Alert - it will ring loudly twice then auto-answer through the speakerphone function.
* Volume control for hearing impairment.GPS LOCATION:
* Once the SOS function is activated, the GPS location will be texted to the emergency contacts.
* The person / unit can also be located by the contact regardless of activation by texting LOC to the number. The unit will then send a reply text with location on Google maps.CHARGING:
* The pendant comes with a charging cradle. The unit should ideally be charged daily - do not wait for this to discharge.
* Re-charging should take approximately 2-3 hours.- Manufacturer/Country
