A medication reminder alarm system that can be customised to prompt a person to take medication for up to 6 different times a day. The basis of the system is a standard power point timer, either electronic with battery backup or mechanically set. The device alerts the resident with an audible sound, flashing light or vibration. The alarm will stay on until reset or power disconnected.

If the person is outside the house or away for some time, they will be reminded by the alarm sounding when they return to the house.
The power timer has a backup battery, to avoid information being lost in case of a power failure.
Alarm indicators can be audible (siren, buzzer etc.), vibrating, flashing lights
