The new Grid Pad is a 12" device designed for all-day communication with and without eyegaze. It has a 15 hour battery life (10 hours with eyegaze) and runs Grid 3. The device is shock-proof and droppable to 1m. Besides direct access, switches, eyegaze and other alternative mouse options can also be used with this device for alternative access. The device fits a purpose-built eyegaze module fitting the EyeTech TM5 or Irisbond Duo cameras but also has mounting plates for Alea, LC Edge, myGaze and Tobii PC Eye Mini cameras. A remote power button is also provided that is switch accessible to increase independence in accessing the device.
