A two layered, foam cushion designed to assist in the prevention and management of pressure areas for people who are at low to medium risk. The cushion is made from an Enduro foam consisting of independent cells that conform to the body contours, with an underlay of a higher density foam. This layer can be removed if required. An optional waterproof cover with slip resistant base is available.

The independent cells produce low shearing forces thereby allowing for more even distribution of pressure. Each cell is self - adjusting to the weight and profile of the surface with which it is in contact. The cell network disperses the pressure, minimizes friction and sheer forces and increases aeration. A removable 25mm layer of higher densisty foam is positioned at the base of the cushion. The Foamrest cushion may be used in wheelchairs and chairs.
