Touching Base

Touching Base is an Sydney-based organisation which aims to:
Facilitate the links between people with a disability, their support organisations and the Sex Industry
Encourage information sharing and educational training programs for sex workers, people with a disability and their carers
Raise the public and professional awareness of the issues surrounding the access and provision of Sex Industry services for people with a disability.
The Touching Base website has a range of information about safer sex, training and workshops, articles of interest, legal information and client information.

The Sexual Health Network

The Sexual Health Network is dedicated to providing easy access to sexuality information, education, support, and other resources. It includes a section on disability and illness.

Outsiders

The Outsiders is a UK based social and peer support network of disabled people with a focus on relationships and sexuality. The website includes links to a range of resources and has a variety of online leaflets available.

Come As You Are

A co-operatively run sex toy, book and dvd store with a website which has information and advice about a range of sex toys, their uses and newsletters. It includes a "Sex and Disability" section with disability resources and seniors' sexual health information.

The Too Hard Basket
An audio documentary originally broadcast on ABC radio in December 2009 which is now available for download.
Disabled people are rarely touched in a loving way or thought of as sexually desirable yet they have the same need for a sexual life as everyone else. In this confronting program John Blades, who has a major disability himself, talks to sex workers about why they work with disabled clients and the importance of touch to every human being.

He also meets other people with disabilities; Gary who has burns to 60% of his body and finds that being touched by his wife on his burnt skin makes him feel desirable; and Caitlin, who has cerebral palsy, and whose first sexual experience was with a sex worker.
