A control unit is located within the premises eg on wheelchair or furniture and must be activated by pressing a button, thus allowing the door to unlatch. A control station can be installed inside the building in any desired position, but it is less costly to have a push button installed near the door to be activated. The ES110 has a deeper than normal strike-keeper area, and is designed to work with an extensive range of locks. Extension lips are available to accommodate the installation of electric strikes on door frames with different thickness.
