. The Multi Lift is constructed from epoxy coated rectangular steel tube.
. It has a curved lifting boom which is moved up and down via a hand held control attached to a controller and batteries.
. The distal end of the boom is used when the Multi Lift operates as a standard hoist and can be removed easily through releasing a locating pin when the Multi Lift operates as a standing hoist or walker. The boom terminates in a spreader bar which provides 6 point attachments for slings. Integral with the boom is a frame which acts as the sling attachment point and hand grips when the Multi Lift is used as a standing hoist.
It has a curved and cushioned knee pad which is used when the Multi Lift is used as a standing hoist. The pad can be removed by and can be stored on the frame of the device when being used as a walker or standard mobile hoist.
. The U shaped base is adjusted in width into various positions by using the hand control. The base is articulated separately from the rear castors. This allows the base width to be adjusted whilst the brakes are on.
. Castors at the rear have lockable brakes.
. The legs are polyurethane coated for cushioning and to protect walls and furniture.
. There is a plastic cover where the base of the mast meets the U shaped base of the hoist.

Frame:
No information provided on materials of construction but frame is epoxy powder coated.

Base:
Features a U-shaped wheeled base - width is electrically adjustable via the handset. Base legs are polyurethane padded and the base section adjoining the mast features a moulded PVC cover from which the rubber covered foot platform extends into the U-base.

Castors:
Front castors are swivel polyurethane castors - 100mm diameter.
Rear castors are polyurethane castors - 150mm diameter and have locking brakes.
Optional 100mm and 75 mm castors are available to provide lower clearance of the ground.

Mast:
Single mast which extends away from the base at a slight angle.
The mast houses the battery pack and also provides the point of attachment for a) the carer's push handle, b) the moulded, padded knee rest and c) the lifting arms onto which the standing transfer slings attach and onto which the client can place their hands for added support. The lifting arms have four points of sling attachment - two per arm.
The lifting actuator recesses into the mast / boom junction to maximise unobstructed clearance during lifts.

Boom:
The boom is curved and provides the point of attachment for a standard yoke-style spreader bar (for seated transfers) if required.
The spreader bar is padded with a polyurethane coating and has three points of hook attachment per side.
Alternatively the hoist is used as a standing transfer hoist, with the sling attaching to the lifting arms instead.

Electrical specifications:
Plug-in rechargeable battery pack - recharging is achieved by removing the battery from the hoist and locking it into to the supplied separate battery charger.

Safety features:
1. An automatic cut out switch in the event of the boom
encountering an obstruction.
2. Emergency stop and audio low battery warning alarm.

Dismantling
of the hoist only occurs through partial removal of the boom, and removal of the knee pad.

Controls
are hand held on an extendable cord. A hook attachment on the control unit allows the controls to be hooked over the frame. There is an emergency stop and lower button on the mast.

SLINGS
A range of slings is available for use with the Multi-Lift hoist -selection depends on client support needs, seated or standing transfer, client size, area of use - eg dry vs wet environment.

Those available include: general purpose, general purpose with head support, full body with divided leg, hammock, toileting and padded standing hoist and seating / transport slings.
