A range of stainless steel or brass architectural drains with a surface grate that can be installed on the edge of a hobless shower to drain the water. It sits flush with the floor and allows wheelchair access. The grate is available with holes or slots.

The floor is sloped all the same direction towards the drain and provides a more level surface for shower chairs and stools than a central drain.
