Extra product information

The frame of the hoist is large, square, anodised aluminium tube. The angle of the boom is fixed and it rises vertically from the mast. There is a webbing strap from the mast to the attachment for the spreader bar. The lifting action occurs as the boom raises and the webbing strap slides along the boom. The lifting range can be adjusted by repositioning the webbing strap using the red lever on the mast.

The straight spreader bar has a single attachment point on each side with additional safety clips.

The push handle located at the rear of the mast is adjustable in height. The hoist has two aluminium arms at the same height as the push handle, which project forward. These are to provide stability to the person who is using the hoist for gait training. They can be swung out of the way when a sling lift is required.
A wide range of Liko slings is available for use with this hoist.

POWER SOURCE
The battery is located on the rear of the mast. The hoist is available with a built-in charger or a separate wall-mounted charger. It has electrical emergency raising and lowering. This is achieved by placing a pen (or similar) into the marked areas which bypasses the hand held control. The hand held controller has two speeds for raising and lowering. It can be positioned on a magnetic marked area on the frame of the hoist when not held in the hand.

SLINGS
Are available in a range of styles including: band, general purpose with head support ("Mastersling Universal"), and toiletting ("Mastersling Hygiene") slings.

BASE
The opening of the legs of the square base are powered via the hand held unit. They remain parallel throughout opening and closing which allows access around large items such as the end of a bed or a powered wheelchair (particularly mid wheel drive wheelchairs).

CAR TRANSFERS
The design of this hoist with its vertical lift and flexible webbing attachment for spreader bar, in combination with its lifting range, allows it to be used for lifting someone in or out a car. The position of the webbing strap is adjusted to maximum range and the boom is raised over the top of the vehicle. The sling is positioned around the person in the usual way. Then the spreader bar is passed into the car by bending the flexible webbing strap to which it is attached.

ADDITIONAL LEVERAGE
The aluminum handles are designed to be used for gait training. They can also be used to provide additional leverage when the hoist is being moved via the push handles. To do this, the handles are swung around to face the rear of the hoist.
