MATERIALS
The unit is made with an aluminium chassis and moulded ABS casing.
SPREADER BAR
The wide carry / spreader bar features integral locking hooks to secure loop style slings. Its wider shape is designed to improve occupant comfort in the sling.
SAFETY FEATURES
These include emergency stop, a push button for emergency lowering and an over speed safety governor. It has a fast battery charge cycle and visual / audible low battery indicators.
SLINGS
The manufacturer, Waverley Glen has an extensive range of suitable slings with comfort features.
BATTERIES
24 volt (2 x 12 volt) 2.0 amp hour
CHARGER
The Transportable II is charged with a separate charger that is plugged into a power point and the hoist unit. During heavy usage, an optional battery pack can quickly be exchanged, thereby offering maximum flexibility. Charger output: 24 volt, 1.5 amps
CONTROLS
Hand held push button control for up and down movements and emergency stop.
The hoist unit has down and up, stop and emergency lowering buttons.
TRACK
The aluminium track is available in number of lengths and can be cut to size required.
. straight sections (1.8, 2.5, 5 and 6 metres in length)

A trolley assembly is mounted inside the track and an eyelet hangs down below the track. The hoist section can be hung directly from the eyelet or from a transportable reacher attached to the eyelet. The attendant can use the reacher to move the hoist horizontally. A lanyard or extension strap can be used between the track and hoist when ceilings are high.
TRANSPOINT FEATURE
An occupant can be moved between 2 tracks, on either side of a doorway while in the hoist. The hoist unit is moved to the doorway, a transpoint strap with carabeener device hangs from the end stop on the second rail. This is connected to the hoist. Tension is taken on the transpoint strap, allowing the hoist strap to be disconnected from the first track. The hoist strap is then connected to the second rail, the tension taken and the transpoint strap released. The hoist is then free to move in the second room. Approximately 15mm of vertical movement is required to vary the tension between the transpoint strap and the hoist strap.
