A battery operated door monitoring alarm unit designed for domestic use that alerts a carer when the occupant leaves the room. The alarm consists of a transmitter unit and magnet that is mounted onto the door frame and a portable remote receiver unit with a removable belt clip. The alarm has an operating range of 30 metres with two volume adjustment levels. Door opening does not interfere with the door monitor. Batteries are included.
