The cushion consists of an outer breathable and washable cover, a two way stretch continence cover, a pressure relieving overlay and an adjustable support base. It is made of multiple densities of memory foam with increased pressure relief in the ischial region with the use of gel-foam - a form of pliable foam with gel-like qualities.

The contouring of this cushion helps with weight distribution and the contour height can be increased as a custom modification.

Because of the modular base of this cushion, it can be readily modified to suit the client's changing needs and/or size.

The base has:
an adjustable, movable pommel that can accommodate windswept postures;
a removable thigh wedge for reduced hip flexion;
a removable, adjustable pre-ischial shelf that can be positioned for pelvic rotation;
removable trochanter shelves that can be configured for pelvic obliquity.
A spare washable outer cover is also available.

The inner incontinence cover is made of two-way stretch material. The outer cover is also two-way stretch and has the ability to breathe, so that moisture is wicked away to assist with regulation of body temperature.

Pressure relief:
The company states that this cushion is suitable for people with medium to high pressure care needs. If higher pressure care is required, the Spex Air Cube Cushion can be used.
