A remote controlled large motorised umbrella for outdoor entertainment venues. It is powered by a Somfy motor, concealed inside the column of the umbrella. The umbrella opening is operated with a RF hand held control. It is programmed to stop at the moment of correct tension. The umbrella is fixed in the ground. Manually retractable umbrellas are also available in a wide range of sizes and colours.
