A range of valves which are applied directly to shower or bath spout to prevent water in excess of 48 degrees centigrade (+/- 2 degrees) flowing. Water flow is cut to trickle. Only suitable for outlets where hot and cold water come from the one spout.

INSTALLATION: May be installed without calling a licenced plumber.May not be suitable for all water pressures eg. bore water - check with a local plumber if unsure.
COMMENTS: The performance of the devices follows the requirements as set down by the National Drainage and Plumbing Code AS3500.4-1994. This regulation stipulates that for new hot water installations delivering hot water to residential buildings at outlets used primarily for personal hygiene, the temperature shall not exceed 50 degrees celsius. For early childhood centres, primary and secondary schools and nursing homes or similar facilities for the aged, sick or people with disabilities, the temperature shall not exceed 43.5 degrees celsius.

- Model TapSafe Model: installed by unscrewing the aerator from the spout and screwing the product onto the spout. The aerator is then screwed back on top the TapSafe unit.
